INTRO
Utility Fog 2 came out in the summer of 2007. The subtitle is Now Not Waterproof. When I bought these CDR’s, I was warned that I could print things on them, but that the print won’t be waterproof.

MOUNTAIN MAN
This is a Mrs. Paintbrush beat. He also had a hook for it, but at the time, I thought I would save that for Utility Fog Deluxe, which I ended up not releasing. (fail?)

POSTED UP
This little verse had been part of my live set for years, but I always thought it fell flat in the studio. Once Shields brought this beat into the equation, it all fell into place.

DID WE DO OUR THING? (YES)
This track originally came out on a compilation called Remember The Alamode, by Shut Up I Love You Records.

SHOWBEAST THEME
When my friends Ben O'Brien and Erin Gleeson started their Showbeast series, they asked me to contribute some music. The first thing that came to mind was to rap over this Jones beat that I had labeled, “Rugrats beat.”

ESCAPE TUNE
This is my first collaboration with King Rhythm, a tight producer / MC who I still work with today. I put a different version of this song on 2009’s Baltimore Highlands.

SAME TRACK REMIX
This is King Rhythm’s remix of Same Track, from the first part of the Utility Fog series.

COLD RHYMES
This was my favorite song from a Mickey Free / Height album that never came out. This song is where the name of my (de facto) label derived.
