UTILITY FOG
Touring with Dan Deacon and PT Burnem got me into the concept of the tour-only CDR. They could make 100 copies for the people that care, without being stuck trying to sell another 900 copies to people that don’t care. Once I started down this path, I went from being a guy that drops a new record every few years to being militant about having something new for each tour, whether it’s a whole new album or a little EP like this.

SAME TRACK
This tune is definitely a highlight of the many Shields / Height collaborations that occurred, in my opinion. Evan Guilfoyle made the first ever Height video for this one.

FULL THROTTLE YO’S feat. Mickey Free and The Plural MC
This song came from me listening to an old tape of me and Plural freestyling. I took my favorite phrases from the tape and rewrote them into a short 3-man rhyme.

CHS
This is a straightforward breakdown of my life during high school, from 1996-2000.

GOING DOWN BIG feat. Lord Grunge
Grunge and I laid this down for a 7-inch that never came out.

SLOW RINSE RAP
A short-and-sweet Height verse on a bananas Mickey Free beat.

GOLD
This is my first time ever having a message or a moral in a song. I meant what I said here and I still do.

HANGING OUT LATE ALL ALONE (2003 VERSION)
This is a completely different song from the version I put on Winterize The Game. It has the same hook and it’s also about hanging out late all alone, but the similarities stop there. It’s abrasive where the other one is gentle, and it’s in a different time signature.
